Welcome to Austin Kickoff Event

A pharmaceutical company reached out wanting an Austin-themed kick off event for their 200 team members. This was the group’s first time in Austin. They wanted to maximize the amount of time the guest’s spent all together, so they did not want them split into smaller groups.

We reserved Lustre Pearl Rainey, a quintessential Austin cocktail bar with an amazing patio and stage.

For food, we catered in Stiles Switch BBQ, Via 313 pizza, and had the Pueblo Viejo taco truck pull up onsite. For dessert, we set up a dessert bar from Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop.

For drinks, Lustre Pearl’s talented bar staff created craft cocktails for the group.

We had a amazing honky tonk band play, and a dance instructor joined to give the group two step lessons.

We set up a fun Texas-themed photo booth for pictures.

Upon departure, each guest received a custom Austin Eats gift bag, filled with Austin-themed swag.

The group LOVED every minute of it! They ate iconic Austin cuisine, drank craft cocktails and danced the night away!

Amazing Company Team Building Event

Great as a Corporate Team Building Event

I’ve done two of these tours with my family and had a ton of fun each time. I enjoyed it so much that I asked them to host my team at work for a corporate event. The food and drink choices are delicious and varied, and the guides do an excellent job describing each stop along the way, sometimes going into the history and back-stories of the owners. I highly recommend giving Austin Eats a try. (Pro Tip — come hungry!)

Great event!

We took our best customers (most of whom had never been to Austin) on the Austin Eats Food Tour! Wow! They loved it! Jill was a great guide. Restaurants awesome. Loved Fix and people are still talking about their fried chicken. The tour was on time and every restaurant was waiting for us and made us feel special! It was executed perfectly and I would do it again and again! Highly recommend for corporate events.

We worked with Andy on a custom food tour for a group of 50. He has great relationships with over 80 venues in Austin and was able to create a tour that was perfect for our group. He arranged everything including transportation and a live band at our last stop. Our guides were great and our attendees had an authentic Austin experience. Highly recommended!

Corporate/Team Event Champion!!!

Austin Eats provided a unique view into Austin culture for our diverse Corporate Team Event. With folks from 9 countries around the world with significantly varying cultures, this event provided something for everyone. Working with Andy and his team to put together the right mix, timing, and transportation was the easiest team event I’ve ever planned. Our tour guide, Scott, kept the group going, energy up, answering the touristy questions.

Excellent outing for a large corporate event!

I booked two tour buses for a large corporate event and we pretty much maxed out our group size and had excellent attendance! The tour guides were fun and awesome, everything happened on time and exactly, the food was great, and everything ran smoothly. It was really nice just booking with the company and letting them handle most of the planning, it really made my job a lot easier.

Excellent outing for a large corporate event!

We recently hosted a corporate dinner with Austin Eats for 15 people and it was absolutely fantastic! The attendees continuously commented on how fun and unique the event was. Our guide, Keith, was outstanding. Super fun, friendly, and knowledgeable about the city and Austin’s food scene. It was a really great evening! FAQs

Frequently asked questions

We don’t have a list that you choose from, because we can’t always guarantee availability of each restaurant/bar. We put together an itinerary based on your feedback. So, if you guys would like to have BBQ, or love breweries, or are huge fans of craft cocktails, let me know! Those types of details are super helpful in creating the perfect trip for you guys! Of course, if you have any wishlist restaurants in mind, let me know, and I’ll do the best I can to make it happen!
Absolutely! We haven’t done our job as a food tour if your group leaves hungry!
We operate rain or shine! We ask that all guests dress accordingly for the weather, and bring an umbrella if necessary! We will make sure that your group is warm/dry/cozy at each stop, but may have to walk through cold/wet/hot weather to get there!
We require a final headcount two weeks prior to the event. We place all of your orders and make all of your reservations in advance to ensure a smooth and seamless experience. Unfortunately, this means we cannot refund you if your headcount drops at the last minute. If you need to add guests at the last minute, please email us to see if it is a possibility.
If you have booked a walking tour, we are able to move your event to a different date as long as we have 72 hours notice. If you have booked a bus tour, we will need at least 14 days notice. If you need to move your bus to a different date within the 14 day window, you will be charged for the bus in full, and will need to pay for the new bus reservation. This is, unfortunately, the policy of the bus company, and we have no wiggle room here.
