Ali will greet you on the rear patio at Kebabalicious (1311 E 7th St) at 3:45 p.m. wearing an Austin Eats T-shirt. The tour will finish a block from the starting point at Prohibition Creamery (1407 E 6th St). Parking in East Austin is limited. There are a few metered spots on side streets in the area. Have questions? Here are the most frequently asked.

Which restaurants do we visit on the tour?

You can see an abridged list of places we go by clicking here. We work with nearly 100 local restaurants, food trucks & bars all over Austin. Our corporate & private tours are fully customized to our clients’ needs. Public tours evolve from time to time so we currently don’t list our lineups for each tour. Besides, where’s the fun in that?

How much should I tip my tour guide?

Our guides love to show you a great time, so they really appreciate when you return that love in the form of gratuity! What you decide to tip is, of course, up to you, but we tend to encourage our guests to think of this like a restaurant gratuity: 15%-20% is totally appreciated. Thanks for thinking of it!

I have special dietary needs. Should I come on your tour?

We are able to accommodate many common dietary restrictions & allergies. When signing up for a public tour, please complete the dietary needs questionnaire as completely as you can. If you have restrictions beyond what’s covered there, please contact us to find out if the tour is right for you. Please note: while we will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs, your tour experience may differ significantly from that of your fellow tour-goers.

What is your cancellation policy?

If a registered tour guest cancels within 48 hours of a tour, you will be refunded your ticket fee less a $25 cancelation charge per guest. No charge will be assessed to your refund for any cancellations in advance of 48 hours.

Austin Eats Food Tours reserves the right to cancel any of our tours if severe weather threatens; if the tour does not meet a minimum number of registered guests; or if there are any other unforeseen circumstances that would prevent the tour from running. In that case, all registered tour guests will receive a full refund for their ticket fees.

What is the best way to get to your tour starting points?

We make suggestions for parking on each of our tours, but parking is very limited and/or expensive around our tour locations. We recommend you use a rideshare or taxi service. Lyft is our favorite option.  Download the Lyft app here and get $10 off your first ride using the promo code AUSTINEATS.
